This e-Book starts Part 3 of The Biochar Revolution – Producing Biochar. It has been written for you if you are interested in starting to produce your own biochar, either for your own plot of land or for a small scale local business venture.
Keeping in mind that while there are real ecological benefits of using biochar, the production of biochar can create emissions through smoke, the e-book takes a sensitive approach to starting. It will explain to you the importance of employing low emission methods of making biochar, so the benefits don’t come at the cost of pollution during biochar production. The book then goes on to give direction in the research of such production methods.
Following on from that introduction, you will then learn about a number of different small scale and low-tech biochar production methods, along with a basic “experimenters kit”. At the end of reading the book, you will have the knowledge and wisdom you need to start experimenting in the production of your own biochar, in an environmentally sensitive manner.
